Intelligente Rosso Caffe capsule and cup

Rosso Caffe’s Intelligente capsule and espresso cup

Arabica beans coffee from Ethiopia, Africa.

OUR REVIEW

Rosso Caffe’s Intelligente coffee is thick and strong, with an intensity of 8 out of 10. It has a burn/woody taste and a fruity bitter aftertaste which reminds me of grapefruit. You can make it as espresso or lungo but, personally, I think it works better as an espresso as the lungo version feels kinda watery to me. It is another enjoyable blend but my favorite espresso in that line remains Rosso Caffe’s Maestro though.

PAIRING

Rosso Caffe’s Intelligente box

  • Activities: Another good one to kick off your day or give you a good whip when you’re feeling sleepy. While I can have a few cups of it, be warned that it might get you wired if you’re not used to strong coffee.
  • Music: Because it’s strong, dark and called Intelligente, we need some smart and artsy music here and I don’t see any other band fitting better than Radiohead.
  • Food: I enjoy having Intelligente with something strong, sweet and chocolaty such as a pain au chocolat – in case you are wondering what it is, it’s a French buttery bread with chocolate inside which resulted in another misleading American adaptation as a chocolate croissant.

PACKAGING

The Intelligente’s box is black and turquoise, featuring a pair of glasses, which makes it the intellectuals’ capsule.

It includes two plastic bags containing 5 turquoise coffee capsules.
