Carte Noire N°11 is an an Espresso made with Arabica beans.

CARTE NOIRE N°11 CAPSULE REVIEW

I’ve stated many times I do not enjoy liquorice coffee, whatever brand it might be and Carte Noire N°11 is no exception.

Despite its strong intensity, all I feel is its watery texture and sour liquorice flavor which leaves me with a bad aftertaste. Of course you might argue it is just a question of taste but I do like the alcoholic liquorice drink pastis once in a while so it’s not like I’m allergic to anything liquorice.

Carte Noire N°11 comes in a black purple-themed rectangle box.

  • Activities: Not an espresso to drink everyday but maybe for holidays and guests enjoying liquorice stuff.
  • Music: For some reason, indie folk hipster bands come to mind – think Vampire Weekend, Decemberists.
  • Food: pair it with something strong in flavors such as a Nutella crepe.

UNBOXING

It opens at the top and includes 10 individually packaged black capsules.
