Nespresso Freddo Intenso review: capsule and coffee cup

Freddo Intenso is a 2020 Nespresso Barista Creations made of 100% Arabica beans from  South America and Indonesia.

FREDDO INTENSO CAPSULE REVIEW

Before we get started, this review is based on a simple preparation of just ice, water and coffee. However after trying a few variations,  water, ice and a dash of milk is probably the most satisfying drink you can make out of this capsule. Now, let’s get back to business and with a name like Intenso, you expect something dark and this is exactly what you get. As soon as you get a sip, you can taste its no-nonsense roasted flavor followed by a bitter finish which lasts for a while. Being a fan of dark, rough espressos, I certainly enjoy this capsule way more than the previous summer editions, especially as it works with water and/or milk without the need to add sugar. A solid Barista Creations, Freddo Intenso will undoubtedly be my go-to iced capsule to beat the summer heat.
