L'Or Papouasie coffee capsule review

L’Or Papouasie review: capsule & coffee cup

L’Or Papouasie is an espresso capsule from Papua, New Guinea.

L’OR PAPOUASIE CAPSULE REVIEW

Contrary to other L’Or capsules such as Splendente and Forza which feature a rich body, Papouasie has that kind of watery feel you can find in many Nespresso-compatible brands. When it comes to flavor, it first tastes woody, then a fruity flavor kicks in before leaving you with an oversalted aftertaste.

As I often mention it, I’m not a big fan of fruity espressos but when it’s subtle it can work. This capsule is however a letdown, as neither its body nor its flavor are able deliver a good coffee experience.

COFFEE PAIRING

  • Activities: Certainly not good enough to make a great first impression when waking up but I guess you could serve it to guests for whom espressos are usually too dark or strong.
  • Music: Listening to something light and overly poppy such as ChVrches.
  • Food: Stay away from anything salty and go for dark chocolate to spice things up.

UNBOXING

L’Or Papouasie comes in a black rectangle box with a turquoise theme. It opens in the middle and includes 10 aluminium gold and turquoise capsules.
