L’Or Mattinata review: capsule & coffee cup

L’Or Mattinata is a lungo capsule.

L’OR MATTINATA CAPSULE REVIEW

Being an espresso drinker, I’m rarely satisfied with Lungo coffees as they usually struggle to create a cohesive experience when it comes to body and intensity.

While this Lungo from L’Or seems to be the exception to the rule, its pleasant softness matching its light strength (5/14), it is also unfortunately a letdown when it comes to flavor as there isn’t much to taste, making it mostly a good candidate for Latte Macchiatos, rather than as a straight lungo cup.

COFFEE PAIRING

L'Or Mattinata capsule box

L’Or Mattinata coffee capsule box

  • Activities: A good choice for gently waking up and for breakfast as a latte Macchiato
  • Music: Whatever soft Sunday morning playlist you might like – here in LA, goes well with the Brakfast with the Beatles radio show.
  • Food: Because it is somewhat flavorless, anything will work.

UNBOXING

L’Or Mattinata comes in a black rectangle box with a yellow theme. It opens in the middle and includes 10 aluminium gold and yellow capsules.
