CIOCATTINO CAPSULE REVIEW

Another shot at Nespresso’s Variations line and another disappointment, Ciocattino failing at delivering a successful chocolaty drink, even though I didn’t dislike it as much as Vanilio. Once again, a Variations coffee combination doesn’t work well as a straight espresso, the chocolate flavor and the coffee’s bitterness not being in harmony. Just like Vanilio, Ciocattino should be turned into latte to be drinkable, delivering then a slightly better flavor than its vanilla counterpart. As a side note, because I don’t like caramel, don’t expect me to be reviewing Caramelito which is the remaining Variations entry.

COFFEE PAIRING

  • Activities: For breakfast, along other flavors.
  • Music: Whatever is on a radio station as I won’t be paying much attention to these tunes and coffee anyway.
  • Food: A regular buttery croissant dipped into Ciocattino latte is one of the rare options to make this blend kind of enjoyable.

PACKAGING

Standard Nespresso box including 10 brown chocolate-color capsules.
