Casino’s Pérou review: capsule & coffee cup

Casino’s Pérou #4 is an espresso capsule made from Fair Trade coffee beans from Peru.

CASINO PEROU CAPSULE REVIEW

For those not familiar with Casino, this is a popular French supermarket chain that can be categorized as half-way between Walmart and Albertson’s. Jumping on the Nespresso bandwagon success – Nespresso is highly popular in Europe with all kinds of compatible capsules available in most grocery stores –  Casino’s capsules are marketed as a cheaper alternative, which is pretty obvious when trying them.

Even though you can definitely feel a caffeine kick when indulging in a few cups, Casino’s Pérou isn’t that impressive: It feels watery and is pretty light on flavors with, arguably, a hint of cocoa and fruit.
