CAPRICCIO CAPSULE REVIEW

Featuring a strong acid taste and a medium body, Nespresso’s Capriccio coffee capsule doesn’t provide a pleasant experience, at least for me. While I’m usually a fan of bitter espressos, this one just doesn’t do it for me when drinking it black, as an espresso. It works a bit better as a cappuccino but be aware that the acidity still manages to pierce through the milk.

COFFEE PAIRING

  • Activities: You can probably start the day with Capriccio, especially if you’re not very awake but, because of its bitterness, I would follow it with a smoother capsule such as Volluto.
  • Music: Not that intense at 5 out 13 and pretty acid, I regret to say it would go with something that annoys me which is pretty much any current song featuring “hohohos” and there are plenty of them …
  • Food: The acidity will overpower anything too sweet so I paired it with Panettone which has enough flavors between the bread, orange and raisins to make this works.

PACKAGING

Nespresso’s Capriccio comes in a standard rectangle box featuring a green Nespresso logo (see picture on the right) and includes 10 green capsules.
